I've recently decided to indulge my inner artist a little bit and see if she'd like to come play. I have sets of photos that I think are decent and I would love to make them better. The first thing I decided to do was create a portfolio of my favorite pictures. Building a solid set will allow me to show it and see if taking the work further is a reality- one that I'd very much enjoy! This shot is of an orchid that was growing on it's own in a fiber basket outside of my grandmother's house in Puerto Rico. I added some sepia tone to it. This particular print has become a favorite for me to play with, and I think it is because I enjoy the close up detail of the "veins" in the leaves.
Do you see any hope for me out there? You better say yes!

I met Pam about a year ago. When I first saw her, she wasn't much to look at- small, sallow, and quiet. She dosen't say much, but she listens when I need to talk, and she dosen't judge. That is the great thing about her, that Pam. She isn't much of an attention whore. She just seems to let you work things out on your own without passing judgement.
When Pam and I hang out, we never have to do anything elaborate to enjoy eachother's company. I never spend more than three dollars at a time with Pam, and we can even make that stretch far. We read, watch tv, take walks with Louis, my dog, and sometimes we even enjoy a nice nap. At night, her warmth wraps around me like a thick yellow blanket, complemented only by a glass of wine- Pam and I shouldn't be drinking, but who is watching? :-)
Anyways, I don't thank Pam enough for what she does. Our words to one another are far and few between but the closeness is there and anyone can see it. Pam does for me what other friends don't, and I love her for. Thanks,Pam, for just being there.
